“Summer, after all, is a time when wonderful things can happen to quiet people. For those few months, you’re not required to be who everyone thinks you are, and that cut-grass smell in the air and the chance to dive into the deep end of a pool give you a courage you don’t have the rest of the year. You can be grateful and easy, with no eyes on you, and no past. Summer just opens the door and lets you out.”― Deb Caletti, Honey, Baby, Sweetheart
If you want to survive the scorching hot sun here in PH, then you should definitely wear something light and cool. It’s this time of the year when I don’t often wear prints. I may wear printed outfit but I make sure it’s short, no sleeves or with cool and thin fabrics. I know floral print is the trend during summer but geez I only wear summery outfit whenever I’m in the beach or it’s off-summer season or unless, it’s the only outfit left in my closet. Isn’t it a bit of embarrassing going out, feeling giddy in your floral dress or maxi skirt then bumping into with people wearing same outfit, too? – Same reason why I don’t usually go with what’s IN.
Well, I wear summery outfit during spring or rainy season – of course, with a jacket or scarf to go along with it. I guess we can wear whatever we please even without following what the season or the trend is. But I also believe that you don’t wear boots on a summer day, right? But guess what? I saw heaps in their knee high boots and yep on a very hot, hot summer day –just a few days ago! What’s worse is that most of the people I saw in their boots often pair it with leggings or super skinny pants. Aren’t they too harsh on themselves?
Anyhows, flaunting with you today what I wore the other day when my siblings and I went out for a short walk and a little prayer at the church nearby. **Forgive my oily skin**
What have you been up to?
