schuhtempel24 // over the knee boots

“You learn something valuable from all of the significant events and people, but you never touch your true potential until you challenge yourself to go beyond imposed limitations.” ― Roy T. Bennett

Today I am going to talk about this pair of sexy knee high boots from Schuhtempel24. I was a little nervous when I picked these out of the hundreds of pretty shoes available in their website but I don’t know what was in my head that time that I ended up choosing these boots. I was worried because as you could see I’m more into sneakers and flats and I wasn’t sure if I could pull this type of shoes well. I didn’t really like the idea of wearing knee high boots. For me, it’s something that is exclusively for celebrities ONLY. I think I’m not the only one who thinks that this kind of shoes, if worn by normal girls like me or you, would make them look trashy or a hooker if matched with the wrong outfit, because this blogger right here wrote useful tips on HOW TO PULL OFF THIGH-HIGH BOOTS (WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE A HOOKER). She’s right with her title because I have seen a lot of girls who have worn knee high boots in a very very unlikely way.

When I got this package from Schuhtempel24 just a day before saying yes for a second collaboration with them, I was very excited and I wanted to do a photoshoot right there and then. But, all of a sudden, I asked myself, “What outfit should I wear with these shoes?” Because in my head, tight fitting dress, skirt or jeans are best to match with these boots. And I don’t have so much of those outfit pieces in my closet. I only have conservative loose dresses which could’ve been okay if only I have longer legs (haha!).

Anyhowss, instead of regretting the shoes I chose for this collaboration, I took it as a real challenge and see if I could still wear this well despite of being not my type of shoes. With that, I’m sharing with you lovelies today my take on how to wear knee high boots without looking like a hooker as mentioned in the article link above by Closetful of Clothes. See for yourself and judge! xx

I’m so thankful for having strong Asian blood because Asians usually look 10 years younger than their real age (Now, guess my age! Lols) That’s why I think being called a hooker just because I wore a pair of knee high boots isn’t so applicable with me? I’m sure I don’t look like that at all because one of my frustrations is to actually look like a real woman and not a girly girly one because I have always been claimed as a teenage girl despite of being (insert age here) old. 😛

  1. Hey hon, over the knee boots always remidn me of Pretty Woman, haha! But dont worry you cldnt look further than our ho’ with a heart of gold- Viv! Honestly, I think mere mortals can totally pull these boots of- its all about balancing propotions as you’ve done. Ie. not showing too much skin at the top also it depends on the style of boot, if you wear a short bodycon dress and PVC knee high boots, well then erm, if it looks like a spade then erm, haha! Have a gd wk hon ( ;

  2. Heheh, you are really a hoot, made me LOL with your hooker comment. I think you’ve styled the boots to a more goodie-girl category, hahah! I love the knit cardi by the way, it has that grandpa vibe which I personally love! You are awesome, I love your blog and reading you 😀 ❤
